September falls!

Every time I hear the word September, I somehow end up on the old song, See you in September.

It’s a nostalgia thing for me I think.

(PS- I am technically too young for Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, but check out that harmony!)

I mean, what adult doesn’t recall their own back to school time in at least one shape or form?

My little ones started today. All of them. My youngest in kinder, the older ones in 2,3, and grade 11.

Where did the time go?

I remember trying to catch all the moments of bath and firsts, and somehow when I turned my back, they are all strutting off with excitement to new classes and new friends.

I’m happy, but along with the warmth, a little twinge. Like a fire poker stirring the coals in my heart to stoke the fire, perhaps.

My adult life trucks along, the same Monday to Friday and everyday responsibilities.

But I do miss sometimes the seasons of my youth.
