Summer rainstorms are here!
That always puts me in the mood for cozy reading so I’m taking advantage of a few group promotions through Book Cave to load up now 🙂
If you haven’t heard of Book cave, you should check it out now! I’ve added the links for the two group fantasy promotions I’m taking part in now. You can get Dream of Darkness from me along with loads of other free series starters and short stories to enjoy!

Summer is always a perfect time for lazy reads by the lake (whenever I can get away from work long enough!)
Along with reading, memories of summers past hit me hard when I watch my children playing. They have so much fun together! It reminds me of playing with my brothers at the lake near where I grew up.
The stories we used to make up
Maybe that should have been a clue I’d one day start writing my
Jenny Greenteeth was my favorite witch story when I was 8. I created a witch that looking back I likely based on Baba Yaga, then told my two younger brothers she lived in the trees behind our house. Her teeth were green because she never brushed, of course, and she loved eating children who were out after bedtime.
After that, my youngest brother wouldn’t go in that stand of trees alone at mid-day, let alone when it started to get dark outside!
Now I mostly create scary stories for me that have happy endings. (I’m not trying to scare them any longer lol) and can not wait to have a few days off to write down a few new ones!
Enjoy your summer, and as always, I hope you have a few days off somewhere this month to kick back and relax!
