Holy Hannah!

I cannot believe how many hours I’ve spent pouring over my writing in the last two weeks. As of Wednesday at 5 AM, I finally finished editing my first draft of an exciting new as of yet under wraps cowriting project that is set to launch in May.

(Only 5 days late, but better than never!)

As soon as I’m allowed to spill more details I will, but for now, I just want to tell you that the covers are absolutely gorgeous. Christopher Bentulan is a new-to-me cover artist that has done some amazing work for other fantasy and paranormal authors and I am so excited to have a chance to work with him! It would not be exaggerating to say that the ones for my series literally made my heart skip a beat.

I’ve also published three flash fiction stories in a mystery anthology, Cold Cases and unsolved mysteries. Although the genre is a little different than my usual, I found a way to incorporate a little magic anyway. That is available right here!

Each story I wrote is based on an unsolved case from history. I came up with the ideas while listening to a history podcast.

Does anyone else love podcasts the way I do? There’s just something so amazing about technology and the way it allows us to easily broaden our horizons.

I freely admit that I’m not a genius when it comes to learning new things, but podcasts have quite neatly slid into the place in my heart where audiobooks live. The best part? There’s always another one I can chose if I finish one, and they are 100% free.

Let’s face it, free also has a very special place in my heart.

February looks like it will be busy as well;

I’m working on the second book of my co-writing project and have about seven chapters left before I can start on book three. I love the flow state I get into while driving and dictating. It has taken my writing to a completely different place and hopefully, that place is an improvement.

My next release is directly in response to reader requests!

I’ve finally gotten around to making a paperback for my last three novellas in the Raven and the Witch Hunter series. I just received the proofs in the mail this week and as you can see from today’s snapshot, with the exception of an ugly proof strip which KDP print thinks is necessary to keep me from selling these on the black market, I’m quite pleased with how the covers it turned out.

I plan to take a nice leisurely read through this weekend and ensure that there are no outrageous typos and then I’m hoping to have that up for preorder for Valentine’s Day.

What better time for mystery and romance than Valentine’s? Am I right?

The other thing I’m working on is catching up on my reading.

I’ve got about four books in my TBR pile to ARC/Beta for other authors which I’m hoping to get to this weekend, and as always, the giant bookshelf of horror beside my bed.

(Marie Kondo would have a heart attack, but I dont know if they spark joy until I read them, right? I promise to downsize as soon as I know the answer!)

If I could only have a week in a cabin by myself, I could maybe read through every last one.

But even if I couldn’t, what a vacation that would be!

So until next time, I hope you’re enjoying whatever you’re reading, and if you’d like to read any of my books, my ARC team is still open. You can join on Facebook at the link below, or send me an email- I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time, stay warm, and I wish you the winter cabin vacation of my dreams 🙂

ciao for now,
