I’m writing this from a Dunkin’ Donuts, up for the 4th day in a row way too early while I see the lights of the slot machines winking at me from the doorway.

I’ve had the most amazing week here, but not because I’m in Vegas- I’m kind of a cheapskate and haven’t even gambled away a dollar yet. I may before I catch my plane today, but mostly because they gave me five dollars at check in and that’s like a coupon…I have to use coupons. Like the one for the big mac and 6 chicken nuggets for 4.44 which I instantly regretted…

But I digress!

The conference I was at was my first for writing, but I know for certain it won’t be my last. I met so many inspirational, hilarious, intelligent authors that I am actually sad to be going home, even though I can see and smell smoke in the air in a way I haven’t been able to since the 90’s.

I had a fun author event yesterday afternoon, which makes me even more excited for the author signing I’ll be doing on Saturday, November 10th.

Between 12-4, at the Chapters in Calgary Sheppard Centre on 130th, I’ll be setting up a little table with my books and some fun stuff to give away- pens, stickers, bookmarks and the like. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d love to meet you!

Book 3 in the Raven and the Witch Hunter is now available WIDE!!

I made the bold decision to transition back to wide over the next two months as I want my books to be available online and in the stores if I’m going to be carrying them in local bookstores, as well as to ensure that readers are able to access them everywhere. Being exclusive to Amazon was a fun experience, but my favorite way to read books is through my iBook app, so I wanted to return to my roots, so to speak.

This will take a little time, but all of my books will be available everywhere online by January.
