The Raven flies at dawn!

I did it.
Somehow, with the craziness that the end of summer and back to school and flying to visit friends was, I managed to get this book up and away.
I really, really, REALLY need to stop giving myself seventy-hundred impossible deadlines.
Is it a streak of self-abuse?
Or do I truly have no concept of how many hours there are in a day?
I’m not young anymore, but I still don’t know the answer to this dilemma which I so frequently face. Is this something other people do to themselves? I think my most common saying is “It seemed like a good idea at the time.”
LOL.

Maybe it’s just that hope springs eternal? I consider myself realistically optimistic, except when it comes to deadlines. Then I’m freaking Pollyanna on crack; “Come on guys, 5 hours is TOTALLY enough time to climb up and down a mountain. Let’s go!”

So now that the bird has flown the coop, off the land of Amazon, I’m going to sit back today and try to relax. I’m going to read a book or two on the plane ride home, visit with friends a few hours more, and hope my latest book baby can find her way in the world.

And if you care to pop by and say hi, I’ll be running a contest for what I think is a delightful box of swag, including a copy of the paperback version of The Raven and The Witch Hunter at my launch party which will be a fun night with several other amazing authors.
Why? Because I love to spend time with people and talk about books,
but when it’s my book, I get even more excited.
Join me tonight at Summerland gate on Facebook. The party starts at 4:00 with the fabulous Carly Marino, and will end with me, starting at 9 pm, all MST
